Contacts and companies

Enriched address book, custom fields, bulk import.

Nexte's CRM is built for freelancers and small teams: none of Salesforce's overkill complexity, but all the essential features to manage 50-5,000 contacts with their associated companies, histories, and follow-ups.

Add a contact manually

  1. CRM → Contacts → `New contact`.
  2. Fill in first/last name, email, phone, job title, associated company.
  3. Optional: add LinkedIn, Twitter, website, physical address, birthday.
  4. Add tags (hot lead, VIP, past client, partner…) to segment.
  5. Save. The contact is immediately available for projects and invoices.

Companies

Group multiple contacts under a single company — useful for large accounts with multiple stakeholders, or for companies where the contact person changes over time.

  • Company record: legal name, address, tax ID, VAT, employees, sector.
  • Linked contacts: list of people with their role.
  • Commercial history: all quotes, invoices, projects tied to the company (not individual contacts).
  • Billing: invoices can be issued in the company's name even if the primary contact changes.
  • Cross-links: if a contact changes companies, their history with the old one stays attached to it.

Custom fields

Settings → CRM → Custom fields. Add fields specific to your business: typical project type, average budget, lead source, expected renewal, GDPR consent, etc.

  • Available types: short text, long text, number, date, dropdown, checkbox, URL, email.
  • Scope: applied to contacts, companies, or both.
  • Required: can be marked mandatory (prevents contact creation without this value).
  • Searchable and filterable: appears in search and list filters.

Bulk import

CRM → Contacts → Menu (···) → Import. Drop a CSV (or download the provided template). Nexte shows a column mapping wizard: associate each CSV column to a Nexte field (name, email, company, custom…). Automatic duplicate detection (by email).

  • Direct sources: Google Contacts, iCloud, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Mailchimp — OAuth import without CSV.
  • Duplicates: detection by email (exact), merge proposed with choice of values to keep.
  • Max size: 10,000 contacts per file, 50 MB max. For more, split into multiple files.
  • Dry-run: preview before real import, list of error lines (invalid email, missing fields).

Segments and lists

CRM → Segments. Create dynamic groups based on combined criteria: `All Paris-based clients who signed a quote >€5,000 in the last 6 months`. Segments auto-update. Usable for email campaigns, automations, reporting.

Contact history and timeline

Each contact shows a complete timeline: projects created, quotes sent, invoices issued, payments received, emails exchanged (if Gmail/Outlook connected), meetings booked, internal notes. One place to find everything in 2 seconds before a call.
