Slack — external notifications and alerts

Push important Nexte events into your Slack channels to stay aligned as a team.

Connecting Slack to Nexte lets your team see key events (payment received, quote accepted, new lead) without logging into Nexte. Especially useful in agencies where customer success, production, and management don't open Nexte daily but need to stay aware of business highlights.

Connect Slack

  1. Settings → Integrations → Slack → Connect. One-click OAuth — you're redirected to Slack to authorize Nexte on your workspace.
  2. Pick the Slack workspace (if you have several linked to your account). Permissions requested: post in channels you'll select (no reading your messages, no DM access).
  3. Back in Nexte, select destination channels by event category (one channel per category).
  4. Confirm. Nexte posts a test message in each selected channel to confirm the setup.

Available event categories

  • 💰 Payments: invoice paid, payment failed, subscription renewed, refund issued.
  • 📝 Proposals and quotes: quote sent, opened by client, accepted, declined. Message includes amount and link to the record.
  • 👥 New contacts: new lead received (website form, booking request, client message). Includes source and contact info.
  • 📅 Booking: new appointment booked, appointment cancelled, reschedule requested, appointment starting in 15 min (pre-meeting alert).
  • 🚨 Operational alerts: invoice overdue by more than 7 days, paused project, integration error, plan quota nearly reached.
  • 📊 Daily recap: digest sent at 9am to a `#nexte-daily` channel with previous day's numbers (revenue, payments, new records).

Message format

Each Slack message uses native Block Kit format: icon, title, context (who, when, amount), one or two direct action buttons (« View invoice », « Mark as handled »). Buttons open Nexte directly on the relevant record — useful for agencies where multiple people may act.

Mentions and @here

For critical events (failed payment, operational alert), you can enable a @here or @channel mention to notify present users. Toggle per category. Avoid mentions for routine events (quote opened, new lead) — it creates noise and tires the team.

Advanced filters (Agency plan)

  • Amount threshold: notify only for payments >€X (e.g., don't spam the channel with small receipts).
  • Per-client/project filter: isolate events from an important client or specific project in a dedicated channel.
  • Per-member filter: notify only for events linked to a specific account exec or project lead.
  • Active hours: post only during business hours (e.g., 9am-7pm, Mon-Fri). Outside, accumulate into a next-morning recap.
The Slack webhook is asynchronous: a 5-30 second delay between the Nexte event and the Slack message is normal. In case of Slack outage, messages are queued and sent on recovery (up to 24h).

Disconnect

Settings → Integrations → Slack → Disconnect. No data is retained on Slack's side or Nexte's side. You can reconnect anytime — the config (channels, categories) is saved locally for 30 days to make quick reconnection easy after vacation or workspace change.
